How much battery do you have left by kick-off? It is a familiar question for anyone who has spent the day using maps, answering calls and making plans to watch a match. realme brings that everyday concern to Cairo’s outdoor advertising scene with a C100 Series campaign starring Egyptian footballer and brand ambassador Emam Ashour. The number sharing the headline with him is 8000mAh, the battery capacity realme lists for the C100.

The campaign gives realme a different conversation to have with commuters after its previous 15 Series campaign. “Live Real in Every Shot” invited people to think about what they could capture with their phones. The C100 picks up on what happens around those moments. There is the journey to the stadium, the call to find a friend at the gate and the ride home when everyone wants a copy of the same video. Battery capacity matters across that whole stretch of time.

Why Emam Ashour Fits the C100

Ashour gives realme a way to talk about endurance in terms an Egyptian football audience already understands. Fans know what it means to keep running late in a match. That association lends the campaign line, “8000mAh Durable Champion,” a distinctly local reading. The word “champion” belongs as naturally beside the player as it does in a C Series headline, and the figure gives shoppers something specific to ask about when they see the phone in a store.

There is a telling choice in how realme introduces its ambassador. Ashour holds the handset up himself, dressed casually, with no pitch or match footage to set the scene. A supporter can recognise the player immediately. Someone with little interest in football can still identify the phone and its main selling point. For an outdoor campaign sharing the street with advertisers from every category, that second audience matters just as much.

A Number Built for the Road

At the photographed site, two C100 campaign panels sit above and below a yellow panel carrying only the realme name. The arrangement gives the brand room to do something a single placement rarely allows. It can devote an entire panel to identifying the advertiser while the neighbouring faces carry the product story. A passenger who catches the upper panel first and a pedestrian whose eye goes straight to the yellow sign have different ways into the same campaign.

The decision to give 8000mAh the most space also reflects how people encounter outdoor advertising. A passing glance may be long enough to register Ashour and the number. Slower traffic gives passengers time to pick up the C100 Series name. Later, when a shopper is comparing phones online or at a counter, that figure becomes a useful point of reference. The campaign has given the audience a detail it can take off the road and into a purchase decision.

The C100 also carries a piece of realme’s Egyptian history. In January 2019, when realme introduced two smartphones to local shoppers through Jumia, one of them was the realme C1. More than seven years before Ashour held up the C100 for Cairo commuters, the C Series was already part of the brand’s story in Egypt.
