Dubai is set to revolutionize urban transportation with the introduction of electric flying taxis as they announce on the UAE's digital outdoors advertising arena, after their last campaign. Spearheaded by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), this ambitious project aims to provide a futuristic aerial taxi service by 2026. The OOH ad declares, “Aerial Taxi- The Future of Mobility in Dubai”, and that they’re the “Smart Mobility Partner for the World Government Summit”. These electrically powered flying taxis offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative, reducing both noise and fuel consumption, as spotted on the billboards with an aerial taxi whizzing over Dubai’s skyline. Capable of carrying up to 4 passengers and a pilot, with a range of 161 kilometers and a maximum speed of 322 kilometers per hour, these taxis hold tremendous potential in reducing traffic congestion, promoting sustainable transportation, and driving tourism and innovation. Implementation plans are already in progress, including the establishment of vertiport locations in key areas like Dubai International Airport, Downtown Dubai, and Palm Jumeirah, along with the development of a comprehensive regulatory framework. Collaboration with industry leaders, such as partnerships with leading eVTOL manufacturers like Joby Aviation, plays a vital role in ensuring the success of this groundbreaking initiative. On digital screens, the new campaign was unveiled in the second week of February.
