You heard that right! The first Arabic 3D Horror movie is finally here. All horror movie enthusiasts, pack your 3D glasses and head to your nearest movie theater. Beloved actor Ahmed Dawood stars in the latest Arab entertainment accomplishment, “Day 13”, alongside other big names like Dina El Sherbiny, Sherif Mounir, Ahmed Zaher, and many more. Unlike their prior comedy appearance, Oscar Production & Distribution is back with Day 13, a movie following the story of the protagonist Ezzeldin, who returns to Egypt after 25 years of living abroad for the sole purpose of selling his family home, but faces some unexpected secrets and rumors that transform his perceptions. The new awareness campaign parades the film post on Cairo’s billboards, which are dominated by the color blue, often used in horror movie posters to create a feeling of unease or tension as it's a cool color that is often associated with darkness, mystery, and the unknown. It can also create a sense of isolation, which can be particularly effective in horror movies where characters are often alone or isolated in dark or eerie settings. This is especially fitting for the Day 13 post as the visuals also host a woman screaming and a man, supposedly Ezzeldin, wandering the halls of his family’s peculiar palace. The campaign visuals evoke a range of emotions and create a sense of unease or tension in onlookers, enticing adventure-seeking viewers to book their tickets now. A unique Die-Cut design of bloody hands holding the billboards protrudes for a more intense aura, solidifying the movie’s dangerous tone & mood. The ads note the film's age rating, +12, and the most important accomplishment of all, the tagline “Day 13 is the first 3D Arabic Horror movie in the world”.
