Following their prior campaign parading the dark roast product launch, multinational food & beverage conglomerate Nescafé came up strong on Cairo’s billboards with their Eid Al-Fitr campaign. Comedian and upcoming actor Waleed El-Moghazy stars in Nestle Egypt’s Nescafé Eid campaign, proclaiming that Eid is never complete without Nescafé; one side note that we've noticed is choosing Waleed in specific was a brilliant choice as the standup comedian is famous for his high tone that he is not shy to make fun of in his material which made the commercial remarkable on many levels, one other reason to make Nescafé choose Waleed is that he well known among the Gen Z which strengthen the existence of the instant coffee brand among this demography. The infamous first cup of coffee on Eid morning is a staple in many homes, and that is exactly what solidifies Nescafé’s claims. The new campaign hosts the comedian and two other characters, who were also present in the video advertisement. Unlike the video advertisement, the billboard doesn't manifest an office environment but a cozy living room, where the three work colleagues enjoy their finally acquired cup of Nescafé in their Eid holiday. Other ad spaces also showcase the same couch shot but blurred, with the campaign slogan “Eid is not Complete Without Nescafé” noted in the foreground. The billboards hold the brand color red as the main captivator, which is often used to evoke purchasing energy from onlookers. Therefore, the billboards remind the audience that if they haven’t already enjoyed their Nescafé this Eid, they’re missing out.
