After their latest campaign about McSpicy this month, Mcdonald’s came up with a new funny awareness campaign that invaded the streets of Dubai! Mcdonald’s is well known for their slogan “I’m lovin’ it” which is widely used all over the world in all languages. So, they always come up with light and funny campaigns that never failed to catch our eyes. This time, Mcdonald’s used their “M” logo to use it as a funny eyebrow! The campaign’s ad copy includes the tagline “Fancy a Mcdonald’s” in English and Arabic, photos of people trying to say it with their eyes, and above their eyes there is Mcdonald’s logo. That’s why they included “Do it with your eyebrows” in the ad copy! The awareness campaign is so cheerful and funny and meant to remind the audience of Mcdonald’s. In this OOH campaign, both English and Arabic languages were used to communicate with almost every demography on the streets of Dubai. However, the campaign has been spotted on more than one major road, which indicates a geo-distribution that targets a broad audience and therefore introduces the awareness campaign to a newer demographic. It also came in different shapes and sizes such as Lampposts, uni-pole, and digital screens; to grab the attention of people walking or driving from any direction. It’s worth noting that Mcdonald’s was founded in 1940 by Richard McDonald, Maurice McDonald, and Ray Kroc, and is the world's largest QSR by revenue, serving over 69 million customers daily in over 38,000 branches in 100 countries. McDonald's opened its first restaurant in the United Arab Emirates in 1994. Now, there are more than 160 restaurants all over the country! This campaign appeared in the third week of February in Dubai featuring BackLite Media, Contour Media, and Hypermedia on Uni-Pole, Lampposts, Mega-Com, and Digital Screen.
