After their latest campaign in Jan 2023, Carrefour, the French retail provider, has come up with a new campaign on the streets of UAE welcoming The Holy Month, Ramadan. The outdoor advertisement is an awareness campaign reminding people that Carrefour is there for their Ramadan Iftars and Sohours. Carrefour is the go-to hypermarket when it comes to grocery shopping, but in Ramadan, people’s purchases almost double because of family and friends’ gatherings and that’s why they used this occasion to advertise their store! Carrefour used hoarding, digital screens, and lamppost billboard sizes in this outdoor advertising campaign to grab everyone’s attention. Not only that but also the ad copy is in both Arabic and English languages to communicate with as many people as possible. Moreover, the campaign is simple and direct, with text visuals “Get Ready for Ramadan”, alongside a photo of a dinner table filled with Arabic delicious food and drinks, decorated with Ramadan decorations and lanterns. Moreover, they offered great prices for Ramadan shopping using their digital screens. Also, the campaign has been placed in more than one packed location and major road and this shows that the campaign targets a new geo-distribution from a wide audience and hence introduces it to a newer demographic. It’s worth noting that Carrefour was launched in the UAE in 1995. And today, Carrefour operates 28 hypermarkets, 43 supermarkets in the UAE, and 12,000 branches around the world!
