Pizza Hut is coming back to Cairo’s streets, strongly filling them with three different outdoor advertising campaigns! The 2 campaigns include their new “Pizza with Egyptian Touch,” and “Hut-Waffar.” Let’s start with the first OOH campaign, “Pizza with Egyptian Touch.” The campaign is basically announcing the release of their newest 3 pizza fillings, Egyptian chicken shawarma, sausages, and pastrami. In this ad copy, they used an Egyptian expression describing the new pizza filling translated into “Egyptian Touch.” Not only that, but they also used an Arabic font that is very nostalgic and gives us the feeling of a billboard from Egypt in the 90s. Another ad campaign that was spotted on the streets of Cairo is Hut Waffar, which is mainly a promotional campaign promoting buying two medium pan pizzas for 205 LE only. So, in all their copy ads, Pizza Hut used Egypt’s mother tongue, Arabic, to advertise their new pizza to complete the Egyptian vibe of the billboard; and also to communicate with almost every demography on the street. Also, the ad campaigns were spotted in more than one cluttered location and major roads in Cairo, which indicates a geo-distribution that targets a broad audience and therefore introduces the service to a newer demographic. They also came in different shapes and sizes to catch the eye of people walking or driving from any direction. It’s worth noting that Pizza Hut has more than 18,000 restaurants in 100 countries around the world, 76 of them in Egypt, owned by Americana Group.
