Vodafone, the telecommunication company that’s no stranger to Out-of-Home campaigns, is back again with another new one. But this one is different, and we’ll mention why in seconds.  The previous campaign was a cross-promotion with TOD to offer a free subscription when you guess the match’s results correctly.

The campaign we’re going to review today is also a cross-promotion with the streaming mogul YouTube as Vodafone offers a new package promoted under the name “Vodafone +” that offers 2 GB streaming on YouTube with the least expensive price in Egypt, which is only 5 EGP! But that’s not all! You have the chance to win up to 10 GB when you renew your package through their dedicated phone app Ana Vodafone.

The billboard’s copy is self-explanatory, following the what-you-see-is-what-you-get school. As it explains, everything the promotion offers is drenched in Vodafone’s unique Red, which is also coincidentally YouTube’s color.

Till now, it sounds like one of Vodafone’s normal promotions that the company always surprises us with. What’s unique about this one is that Vodafone decided to acquire the majority of Cairo’s digital screens to promote “Vodafone Plus YouTube,” which is a new approach the company has taken recently, and honestly, we find it an extremely brilliant move to follow the digital parade that’s taking over the traditional OOH bit by bit, and continuing the digital talking, the campaign has been spotted on Zayed Digital Boards ZDB and was displayed simultaneously on the three famous digital screens.
