When someone says McDonald’s, we all think of our favorite meal among family gathered around a TV, or friends with a board game, or even curled up in our beds to watch our favorite shows. McDonald’s is now adding to that idea of enjoyment by adding lettuce seeds with every happy meal for every family to plant. In its previous campaign, McDonald’s was reminding everyone that they serve freshly-brewed coffee. The campaign’s visuals are simple, just like a happy meal. It features a white background with the text “Plant your Lettuce Seeds with Every Happy Meal” with the first two words in Green, signifying the environment and greenery. The billboards also feature pictures of McDonald’s’ famous happy meal box, the small bag of seeds, and a lettuce plant, showing their audience what their investments turn into. The campaign is spread in English and Arabic in Sharjah and Dubai as bridge billboards, digital screens, lampposts, unipoles, and hoarding billboards, which allows it to be as accessible to everyone as it can be. This campaign is also in collaboration with Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and Del Monte Arabia. McDonald’s has always been known for bringing people together and right now it’s even adding to the environment with that value.
