Since their last appearance back in 2020, the GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) healthcare product is back on Cairo’s streets just in time for the winter season, reminding audiences to compile their supplies of Otrivin for the cold season. Otrivin is a nasal spray used to temporarily relieve nasal congestion caused by the common cold, air pollution, and various types of allergies. Nasal congestion can cause discomfort, difficulty in falling asleep, and can impair hearing. The nasal spray performs its action by constricting the blood vessels in the nose.
A simple statement advertised throughout the campaign said “Life is a struggle if you can't breathe well due to your nasal congestion” which is the sole purpose of Otrivin, which is to help you through and out of these struggles. Otrivin helps you in the fastest way possible and lasts a long period so you can function normally throughout the day, the duration mentioned in the ads said that Otrivin could last up to 12hrs freeing you from nasal congestion.
To demonstrate to the audience how nasal congestion can be tiring, the GSK campaign illustrated some individuals struggling because of their sickness in typical daily situations such as taking a bus, enjoying coffee, or even spending time with their baby.
