As football fever sweeps the glove, international football is receiving a lot of attention worldwide with Qatar’s FIFA World Cup taking place. However, four European powerhouses are scheduled to compete in the Dubai Super Cup, so club football will share the focus there for UAE supporters. In an OOH campaign across Dubai, Dubai Super Cup is acknowledging people of its presence in a time crazed by football hype and where it’s more relevant than ever. This December, four teams will compete in the Dubai Super Cup, with Arsenal, Liverpool, AC Milan, and Lyon participating. The eight-day event will take place on the off days of the World Cup. The event will feature action-packed excitement and use the break as a winter training camp in order to get ready for the end of the season. At Al Maktoum Stadium, Oud Metha, “Where Superstars Shine”, the Dubai World Cup will be taking place from the 8th to the 16th of December. The visuals also announce the government partners, which are the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and Dubai Sports Council, as well as the TV broadcast partner, Abu Dhabi Sports. The media partner is The Arabian Radio Network and the content partner is TikTok, and all is organized by: Aspin AMH Sports and hosted by Al Nasr Sports Club. The interesting part is that Arsenal and Liverpool won’t actually be playing each other, but will in fact play with the other teams only. We’re scratching our brains and scourging as to why that is, but they’re keeping it on the down low. A hidden controversy, perhaps, or a simple coincidence? The new and first campaign of Dubai Super Cup mounted digital screens and bridge billboards in Dubai, in the first week of December.
