Founded in 1977, The Sharjah Co-operative Society, the first cooperative society in the United Arab Emirates was directed under His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The aim of its creation was to spread cooperative services in Sharjah and to socially and economically raise the standard of living of its inhabitants, they do so through a network of around 30 branches that are equipped with all modern shopping facilities and are spread throughout the Emirates. Sharjah Coop unveiled its latest App and website launch campaign on UAE’s billboards with the hopes of implementing a new vision of a seamless and easy shopping experience for its consumers. The launch campaign ad spaces encourage the audience to go ahead and download the new app or visit their websites for easier access to whatever they might need while being able to receive it on the same day. Red is a prominent colour used in this campaign as it is extremely energetic and motivating as well as known to stimulate people to make quick decisions, in this case encouraging the audience to download the app for amazing benefits that they will surely love. The ads are also very dynamic, having eye-catching doodles within the ad that will grab the audience’s attention. The ad copy notes the campaign slogan “New Vision …. New App” which is also translated in Arabic to “رؤية جديدة … تطبيق جديد”. The ads hold the application logo as well as a mention of where the audience can download it. Lastly, besides a replica of the application welcome interface, Sharjah Coop mentions how the audience will benefit from “Same Day Delivery to their Doorstep” when they use the application. The launch campaign struck Dubai’s billboards in the second week of April in the form of hoardings, unipoles and lampposts.
