As we do every month, we keep a vigilant eye on the outdoor advertising landscape on Cairo's OOH scene to monitor its movements and tendencies. The month of October has seen a continuous flow of OOH activity, as our monthly analyses and reports have shown. According to the data and statistics that we have extracted, it has shown a minuscule dip in the market occupancy rate, where about 71% of the OOH ad spaces are occupied, with about 29% of the billboards available for new outdoor marketing campaigns, with a 1% decrease when compared to September.
According to our data, the overall number of campaigns in October has somewhat increased, with 156 campaigns landing on the scene, compared to just 150 total campaigns in September. The ongoing campaigns this month have witnessed a small decrease as well, dropping to 81 running campaigns, while September's count amounted to 83. However, the number of new campaigns has noticeably increased from 67 to 75.
As for the industries that cover the majority of Cairo’s billboards, it is obvious that the real estate industry is still topping the chart, as it controls 43% of the market space, with a 1% rise compared to September. The telecommunication industry comes next in 2nd place on the chart with 8% of the market share, with a 3% decrease compared to the previous month. The FMCG and Healthcare industries have taken third & fourth place respectively, with 8% & 6% occupancy rates, followed by the Automotive industry with 6%, tying for the fourth spot alongside Healthcare, and surprisingly with the Foodservice industry as well. That is remarkable for the month of October, as 3 industries have tied for a single spot. Finance & Investment alongside Business Services have taken over the 5th simultaneously.
