Union Coop has debuted a promotional OOH campaign in Dubai, surprising the oncoming vehicles with real-value deals on a wide range of goods from electronics, food, household appliances to hardware, and also showering their customers with prizes that are worth tens of millions of dollars each year. The major activities of Union Coop in the UAE are to inaugurate hypermarkets and run cooperatives. Union Coop is the UAE’s largest consumer cooperative shopping app, operating in 23 locations and four malls. In addition, Union Coop has also two grocery chains, which are Mini Coop and Coop, a novel idea, making it the first consumer-centric business in the Middle East and North Africa to feature a smart shopping concept in many of its locations. As for the OOH campaign, The visuals provide a glimpse of some prizes that the winner will receive. For instance, when customers spend 100 AED or more, they have the chance to win a Lexus IS300 and many valuable prizes. Alongside the red car, the visuals display iPhone prizes, including a huge one that shows a grocery storefront protruding from the screen, which reflects the aforementioned smart shopping concept. All the displayed visuals and ad copies are illustrated on a yellow-tinted backdrop with some blue colors, also at the left corner, on a white spot, there is a straightforward call-to-action that invites audiences to “Download Union Coop App Now” with a toll-free contact number. This campaign has popped up for the first time in the second week of September on UniPole, Hoarding, and Bridge Billboards, in addition to Digital Screens in Dubai.
