The Hotel Transylvania City Walk campaign has spooked Dubai in a playful manner after announcing its event via billboards. Just earlier this month, City Walk had another event, The Smurfs City, which was a smash hit. The campaign is promoting the newest movie in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, to be released on the 1st of October. The event is full of activities and workshops. From daily bingo and board games, to arts and crafts depicting characters from the popular film; all of these attractions are available to visitors. A special meet and greet event with the stars on Fridays and Saturdays should attract even more fans of the popular animated movies and their signature slapstick antics. To enter, one must present a single receipt of AED 100 or more from any City Walk retailer to get into the activity zone located in the Courtyard. The visuals are very engaging, with the juxtaposition of the upbeat event and the movie’s spooky genre. The exuberant tone on display appeals to the film’s young target demographic, as well as adults who like a bit of animated fun, who are willing to dip into their childhood and feel like kids again. The spotlight in the billboard is shone on the characters of the movie, who are Count Dracula, Mavis, Frankenstein and Murray the Mummy. The entire length of the billboard is coated in deep blues and blacks, which adds to the mischievous vibe. Lightning bolts are striking the billboard, as if to send tingles down viewers’ spines. The lively declaration, “Spooky fun for everyone at The Courtyard” is scribbled across the billboards besides the movie’s prominent title. The event’s dates, activity timings, and the dates concerning meeting the characters are detailed clearly. The new campaign sprung up in the third week of July in limited locations, from the 29th of July to the 28th of August, and on digital screens in Al Safa Street and at the City Walk itself.
