With Mother’s Day around the corner, different brands are racing on the billboards of Cairo to gift our beloved ladies the best offers and promotions, using the OOH market as a gateway to do so. Retail store Raneen has released an outdoor advertising campaign for the same exact reason.
Founded in 1998 to provide housewares, kitchen warehouse, home appliances, and home and garden gifts for the modern Egyptian home; Raneen is using the emotional appeal to build a connection and relationship through the billboards of Cairo. The visuals have little kids with a smiley cute face, while the ad copy says “Some say mum, some say mummy and some say mother” and in a heart shape design you’ll find “And you, how do you say it?”, announcing that Raneen is having “Discounts till the end of March”.
The campaign popped up during the first week of March, using billboards and uni-poles in different locations around Greater Cairo.
