Standing out against the UAE's cityscapes, the Clari Spray billboard does not feel like a healthcare ad but more like a breath of fresh air hovering above the road.

At the center of the composition stands the Clari Spray bottle by Claritine, magnified to a heroic size yet detailed in clinical fashion. A fine spray emanates from the nozzle, growing into white puffs as it drifts into the background. This visual metaphor speaks volumes in subtlety. There’s no congestion to be seen; rather, its absence is conveyed. The spray isn't fighting congestion aggressively; rather, it liquefies congestion, changing pressurized air into lighter air.

By a single glance at the ad, one can recognize the promise it emanates: faster congestion relief in a natural manner. The bilingual headline firmly grounds the message. Arabic and English flow together effortlessly, suggesting both the multicultural experience of the UAE and the degree to which the brand is generally available. “Faster Relief of Congestion” gets right to the point, but together with the visuals, the message becomes experiential, rather than instructive. The fonts used are strong without being shouty, simple without being coded as sterile, making them readable at a distance while being calm and assuring. It’s a clarity that’s necessary when noticing a product that promises to clear. The human presence at the bottom-left corner of the billboard completes the story. A woman raises her eyes in awe, sporting a sweet look of relief on her face. This look is relaxed and weightless, as if the woman has just taken a deep breath after experiencing pain for so long. This woman's eyes are aligned with the direction of the mist and the clouds, such that the viewer's eyes are directed accordingly. This woman is not shown or looked at in awe. Rather, she appears natural.

Descriptive information is used well. The “Shake Before Use” icon, the “No Drip” notice, and the relief in 12 hours are incorporated without disrupting the format. Amidst the bright lights of day and wide spaces, this particular advertisement does not compete; it complements.

The use of grassy areas, blue skies, and spacious design reflects this particular region’s openness, yet it presents an element that contrasts with the dryness and dust that often contribute to congestion in the first place. Clari Spray’s positioning strategy goes beyond just being a solution to congestion.

The outdoor billboard took to UAE’s Hoardings, Digital Screen and Lampposts in the first week of December.
