DiDi, Egypt’s top taxi-like app for transportation, has collaborated with Egyptian singer and actor Kozbara for a new outdoor advertising campaign distributed massively across Greater Cairo’s busy roads and highways. DiDi’s previous successful OOH appearance was 4 months ago featuring Egyptian actor Essam Omar. The transportation mobile app is back on billboards even stronger with vibrant and striking visuals using the taglines “Order DiDi for a cheaper ride” and Order DiDi for a safer ride.” These taglines are used on separate visuals. Another campaign slogan used on all billboards translates to “It comes at your convenience, it doesn’t come at your convenience.” One of the ad visuals portrays Kozbara in an orange jacket going with the theme and backdrop of the campaign which matches with DiDi’s brand color and identity. Orange is an optimistic, uplifting, and rejuvenating color. It reflects security and welcoming vibes which suits DiDi as a brand perfectly. In the same visual, Kozbara is shown holding his phone with a matching orange cover and in his other hand he’s holding a 200 EGP note to pay for his next ride which seems to have just arrived in the background. The car that has arrived is in perfect condition. Another visual displays Kozbara in the backseat of a DiDi ride smiling and looking like he’s enjoying his trip, holding his phone which is open to the DiDi app and tracking the location of the ride. Other visuals display the taglines solely against solid orange backgrounds. The campaign also includes a call to action which is to download the DiDi app through Google Play, App Store, or App Gallery. DiDi understands the challenges of urban mobility. They offer freedom, convenience, and accessibility, helping customers explore Egypt’s vibrant and diverse landscapes.
