Sharjah’s Department of Culture has lit up the events and exhibitions sector and the UAE’s billboards with the Sharjah Festival of Arabic Poetry! The Department of Culture aims to transform the Emirate of Sharjah into a cultural capital and dedicate cultural and intellectual traditions to those seeking it. This will connect the Emirate's present and future with its illustrious cultural and deep heritage. The five-day festival serves as a breeding ground for poets and poetry enthusiasts as well as a venue for poetry evenings with the involvement of poets and critics from the Arab world who enliven the intellectual program of the festival. In turn, the festival helps to safeguard the fundamental principles of poetry, nurture the poetic heritage, and enrich the poetic field with a wealth of diverse literary output. In its 19th edition, the Sharjah Festival of Arabic Poetry announces on OOH that it is taking place from the 9th of January to the 15th at the Cultural Palace. The simple monotone billboards showcase the richness of the event that is bound to illuminate the UAE nights with lovely poetry readings. A cool aspect of the event is that it has given out a large number of specialty awards to outstanding poets and inventive youth from all Arab nations. Thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's wise direction and patronage, they have also been eager to find and encourage fresh lyrical talents and celebrate them in their home countries. What a lively event! The new mega com and bridge billboards campaign was released in Sharjah by media provider Al Serh adv & pub, in the first week of January.
