Following its efforts to strengthen the media and creative sectors, as well as to educate and inspire a new generation of producers and artists in Sharjah and the UAE, Sharjah Media City (Shams) has announced its participation in the ninth Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF) in the think cinema festival as a gold sponsor and will host a series of interactive workshops inspiring creators and artists in the UAE. SIFF’s prior appearance was a year ago in the 2021 “think cinema” campaign, From the 11th to the 15th of October, SIFF is dedicated to promoting children and young people's media literacy, encouraging their creativity, and showcasing the very best in filmmaking for, by, and about children and young people. The event will host 93 films from 34 countries competing, eight discussion panels, 34 workshops, eminent guest speakers, and a green carpet event showcasing 6 selected films which are displayed on the billboard ‘The Secret Garden, Croissant, and The Electrical Life of Louis Wain at VOX Cinema Al Zahia, and Farha, The Neighborhood Storyteller, and Paper Flower at Al Jawaher Reception & Convention Center, and, of course, several sponsors that are mentioned at the bottom of the billboard are going to take part in the big event. The campaign struck Dubai’s billboards in the second week of October as Digital screens and Lampposts.
