Dubai Electricity & Water Authority is a public service infrastructure company that was founded in 1992, with the purpose of providing the people of Dubai with an adequate and reliable supply of electricity and water. The institution has landed on Dubai’s OOH scene with an outdoor campaign, announcing that it “is proud to be the official sustainable energy partner of EXPO 2020 DUBAI”. The ad campaign depicts a building of Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, with two men shaking hands in agreement in front of it. That image is surrounded by displays of solar panels, alluding to the fact that DEWA is building the 5GW Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park with the purpose of generating power from phtovoltaics and from concentrated solar power. The ad copy also invites audiences to “Discover exciting projects at DEWA pavilion, EXPO 2020 Dubai”. This limited campaign is a fairly new one that was released during the first week of October and was launched on Hoarding billboards in Dubai City.
