Messika brings its Moderniste collection to Dubai’s outdoor advertising landscape with a campaign featuring Julianne Moore and Irina Shayk. Appearing on hoardings in the second week of October, the rollout gives the French jewellery Maison a prominent roadside presence, pairing celebrity portraits with oversized product imagery.

The appearance follows Messika’s previous Dubai OOH campaign, continuing its conversation with the city’s luxury audience. This time, Moderniste provides the focus, introducing a collection whose sculptural forms translate naturally to the scale of outdoor advertising.

Moderniste Moves From Personal Adornment to Public Display

The featured hoarding places Moore and Shayk at opposite ends, with enlarged bracelets occupying the centre. That arrangement gives the campaign a clear product focus while showing how the jewellery looks when worn. The portraits offer styling context; the central display brings the collection’s shapes and finishes into closer view.

For a jewellery purchase, both perspectives matter. Customers may be drawn to the overall look before exploring individual pieces, materials or combinations. Messika brings those stages of discovery together within a single outdoor execution, offering an introduction that can lead to further exploration online or in store.

The scale also gives relatively small objects a substantial physical presence. Bracelet outlines and contrasting surfaces become visible beyond the intimate settings in which jewellery is usually encountered, allowing the collection itself to carry much of the roadside message.

Celebrity Recognition Supports Collection Discovery

Photographed by Ezra Petronio, the Moderniste campaign presents Moore and Shayk against black backgrounds. Messika describes the pairing as an exploration of different expressions of femininity, connecting their contrasting portraits with the collection’s interplay of circular and square forms.

On the Dubai hoarding, that concept translates into a straightforward relationship between personality and product. Both women wear the jewellery prominently, keeping the endorsement connected to the collection. Stacked bracelets and rings introduce ways of wearing the pieces, giving interested viewers styling ideas alongside the brand association.

The recognisable faces provide potential entry points into the campaign, while the enlarged bracelets ensure that Moderniste retains its own presence. This balance matters commercially: celebrity visibility can introduce the advertisement, but the jewellery needs to remain memorable enough to invite closer consideration.

A Clear Brand Presence Across Dubai’s Roads

The continuous black background holds the wide composition together, separating the portraits, jewellery and lettering without additional scenery. White Messika branding appears in English and Arabic, while the Ahmed Seddiqi name is visible beneath it, adding a local retail reference to the international campaign.

The execution concentrates on recognition, design and desirability, without a prominent price promotion. Its outdoor role is to make the collection familiar and worth investigating, giving subsequent product searches or retail encounters a visual reference.

Moderniste’s architectural character strengthens that approach. According to Messika, Valérie Messika’s collection draws on contemporary architecture, combining structured volumes with faceted gold surfaces. Enlarged across a Dubai hoarding, those design features become the campaign’s central selling point: jewellery with a distinctive form, presented at a scale that invites audiences to notice it.
