GDA Takes Season 6 Across Cairo DOOH Ahead of Its 2026 Gathering
GDA is bringing its sixth season into Cairo’s streets through a vibrant DOOH campaign sponsored by OUTSITE Billboards, turning the event’s visual identity into a moving invitation for Egypt’s creative community.
Running across digital screens in areas including Abdel Moneim Riad, City Stars, Dahshour, Hyper, Mall Masr, O1, Safwa, South Dahshour, Waterway, Zamalek and Zayed Entrance, the rollout gives GDA Season 6 visibility across central, eastern and western parts of Greater Cairo ahead of the event on 21 November 2026 at AUC Tahrir.

Season 6 Becomes a Roadside Identity
Rather than opening with a dense block of event information, the campaign gives GDA Season 6 an identity audiences can recognise quickly.
One execution places a large turquoise “6” against a vivid red background, accompanied by “This season feels different” and the GDA identity. Another shifts into an intense pink treatment carrying Arabic messaging that positions the gathering around the graphic design community in Egypt and the wider Arab region.
The number six becomes more than an edition marker. Its scale, combined with the saturated colour palette and bilingual typography, gives the campaign a recognisable visual shorthand that can carry across different screens and locations.
That approach suits DOOH particularly well. Instead of asking every frame to communicate the entire event proposition at once, GDA uses the digital format to break the message into stages, moving between identity, positioning and practical information.

Motion Gives the Design Community Something to Watch
The animated creative pushes that idea further.
A hand-drawn character moves through a stylised pink urban environment before the sequence returns to GDA branding and Season 6 messaging. The animation gives the screens a sense of progression rather than simply presenting a static key visual digitally.
That connection between medium and subject is especially relevant here. GDA is speaking to designers, so motion, illustration, typography, composition and colour are part of the message rather than decoration around it.
The campaign effectively promotes a design-focused gathering through design itself.
For passing audiences, the movement creates the initial hook. For people already familiar with GDA, the distinctive visual language immediately signals that a new season is approaching.

“This Season Feels Different” Sets Up the 2026 Proposition
The line “This season feels different” works as the campaign’s central teaser because it creates curiosity without attempting to explain the programme on the billboard.
Season 6 explores the changing role of designers and the ways creative practice is developing alongside new tools, working methods and artificial intelligence.
The event extends beyond stage talks, bringing together discussions, workshops, portfolio reviews, case studies, networking and opportunities for the wider creative community to meet and exchange experience.
That gives the teaser more weight. “Different” is not only referring to a new colour palette or campaign treatment. It prepares audiences for another chapter in how GDA approaches the profession and the people working within it.
