Papa Johns is taking its new Pan Pizza from social media into the UAE’s outdoor advertising landscape, rolling out a space-themed D/OOH campaign across Dubai and Ajman through digital screens and large-format hoardings.

Following the brand’s previous OOH appearance in July 2026, the latest campaign places the product firmly at the centre. This time, the Pan Pizza becomes the centre of its own universe, surrounded by astronaut characters, a deep black backdrop and product claims built around its circular shape and edge-to-edge toppings.

The Pan Pizza Becomes Its Own Planet

The creative is anchored by an oversized pepperoni Pan Pizza positioned against a dark, space-like background. Its circular form naturally supports the campaign concept, giving the pizza an almost planet-like presence while keeping the product itself as the main visual focus.

That connection becomes clearer through the surrounding copy. “360° Cheesy Goodness” plays directly into the pizza’s round shape, while “Edge-to-Edge Toppings” draws attention to how the toppings stretch across its surface.

Rather than surrounding the product with unrelated promotional language, Papa Johns uses the visual and copy to reinforce the same idea. The audience sees the pizza first, then receives two concise reasons why this Pan Pizza is different.

The campaign’s main line, “The New Standard for Pan,” pushes that positioning further, framing the launch as a new take on the format rather than simply another menu addition.

The Social Media Creative Steps Into OOH

The astronaut concept becomes more meaningful when seen alongside Papa Johns’ social media content for the Pan Pizza launch.

In the video shared across the brand’s social channels, familiar Papa Johns food characters, including a pizza slice, pepper and garlic sauce cup, appear as astronauts moving through a playful space-inspired setting before the new Pan Pizza takes focus. The same product language also carries across both executions, including “360° Cheesy Goodness” and “The New Standard for Pan Pizza.”

The hoarding then takes those same characters and extends them beyond the conventional billboard frame through die-cut elements positioned above the creative.

That makes the die-cut treatment more than decoration. The astronauts appear to float outside the board, carrying a visual idea already established on social media into the physical outdoor environment.

Instead of simply repeating the same creative across channels, Papa Johns adapts the concept to suit each medium. Social media gives the idea movement, while OOH gives it scale, physical depth and roadside visibility.

One Creative World Across Social and OOH

The connection between social media and the billboard gives the campaign a stronger sense of continuity.

The round pizza becomes the planet, the astronaut characters establish the surrounding universe, “360°” reinforces the circular product form, and “Edge-to-Edge Toppings” turns another visible feature into a clear product benefit.

The black backdrop also works on two levels. It strengthens the outer-space setting while creating enough contrast for the pizza, yellow typography and white Papa Johns branding to stand out across roadside environments.

Despite the playful theme, the board remains easy to process. Papa Johns keeps the hierarchy clear: brand, new product, product benefit and call to action.

Built to Work Across UAE D/OOH

Running across Dubai and Ajman, the campaign uses both digital screens and large hoardings to introduce the Pan Pizza across different outdoor environments.

The hoarding gives the space concept room to expand, particularly through the die-cut astronauts, while the digital placements carry the same visual language into another part of the UAE’s D/OOH network.

English and Arabic “Order Now” prompts bring a conversion layer into the campaign without overcrowding the artwork, linking awareness of the new product directly to the next step.

A Product Launch Built Around the Product

Papa Johns’ latest UAE campaign works because its creative idea is tied directly to what it is selling. The Pan Pizza’s circular shape, the 360-degree claim, the edge-to-edge toppings and the astronaut characters all belong to the same visual story.

Following July’s OOH activity, Papa Johns returns with a campaign that gives the new Pan Pizza the leading role while extending a creative universe already introduced on social media.

The social content introduces the universe. The D/OOH campaign brings it onto the streets.
