GoChat Brings Manchester City Into Its Second 2026 Dubai OOH Rollout
GoChat is bringing Manchester City into its latest Dubai OOH campaign, pairing the club’s imagery with a familiar promise: free HD video and voice calls. The bridge execution leads with “Be in the moment,” giving the service a football setting while keeping the practical benefit immediately visible.
GoChat Messenger is the calling and messaging app launched by etisalat by e&. The campaign follows GoChat’s previous February 2026 rollout across Dubai’s digital screens and bridge billboards, extending the same proposition through a different creative setting.
From Everyday Connection to Football
The February rollout combined direct calling messages with a video-call interface featuring an older woman. That execution already gave the service a human dimension, presenting connection through a recognisable personal interaction.
Manchester City introduces another source of relevance: the conversations, reactions and celebrations surrounding football. “Be in the moment” invites viewers to associate that shared interest with GoChat’s calling capability.
A smartphone outline frames three figures, with Manchester City’s sky-blue shirts establishing the football connection. Placing the figures within that frame links the imagery to mobile communication. The treatment offers a compact way to suggest closeness, giving the calling proposition a social context without requiring a detailed product demonstration.
A Bridge Layout Built Around the Calling Benefit
The bridge billboard uses its horizontal space to separate the message, imagery and app identity. Large white lettering against a dark green background carries “Be in the moment with free HD video and voice calls.” The opening phrase receives heavier emphasis, while the calling benefit remains part of the main message.
The figures occupy the centre-right area. At the far right, a separate white panel gives the GoChat icon and wordmark a distinct space.
That separation matters commercially. Football imagery may attract attention, but the advertiser still needs viewers to associate it with the app. The prominent GoChat panel supports that connection, while the large benefit line explains what the app offers. The creative gives both the football association and the product enough room to register during a brief roadside encounter.
The e& and Manchester City Connection
At the opposite end of the billboard, paired e& and Manchester City logos establish the wider brand relationship. In September 2024, e& announced that its Manchester City partnership was celebrating its fifteenth year.
That background gives the football appearance commercial context. The partnership panel identifies the relationship, while the centre of the billboard concentrates on GoChat’s specific proposition. This allows the app to draw on the association without filling the advertisement with sponsorship information.
Recognition Before the Download
The bridge creative has no prominent QR code or download instruction. Its emphasis suggests an awareness role: make GoChat recognisable and attach its name to free HD calling. That places more responsibility on the clarity of the app branding, since viewers receive little direction about an immediate next step.
The continuity with February gives the brand a consistent benefit to build around. Football supplies fresh imagery while the calling promise remains easy to identify.
The commercial test is whether audiences remember GoChat alongside Manchester City. Keeping the app name and free HD calling benefit prominent gives that association a practical purpose when someone next wants to connect.
