MAKADI HEIGHTS Reveal Campaign: Live 12 Months of Summer! Is This the Reveal?

Earlier this month, an unbranded campaign started a conversation on Cairo's streets about the end of the season: "Summer's Over? Ours Isn't". Now MAKADI HEIGHTS by Orascom Development is running "LIVE 12 MONTHS of Summer!" across the same city. The thematic overlap is hard to miss. Whether it's the reveal of that teaser is a question worth examining rather than answering outright.

Is This the Reveal? What Points to It, and What Doesn't

Three things suggest a connection. The messages rhyme: one insists summer isn't over, the other promises twelve months of it. The script font in "of Summer!" appears to echo the lettering used in the teaser. And the tax registration number printed on both creatives looks to be the same, which is the strongest signal of the three, since that number ties back to the advertiser rather than the agency's design choices.

But notice how much work we just did to get there. If it takes a font comparison and a tax number to connect the two campaigns, what happens to a commuter passing at 100km/h? Visually, the two rollouts share almost nothing: no carried-over colour, no repeated device, no closing bracket on the tease. Whatever reach the first campaign accumulated may not transfer, and this execution may effectively be starting its own count.

There's a second possibility worth holding open: the reveal might belong to a different Orascom project entirely, and this is simply a separate rollout landing at a similar moment. It's also fair to ask why a project that has appeared on Egyptian OOH before, across different stages of the funnel, would need a teaser at all.

What MAKADI HEIGHTS Is Actually Promising

Read on its own terms, the proposition is clear enough. Cinematic summer imagery leads, under a promise of twelve months of it, addressed to summer enthusiasts across the capital. And the claim isn't purely poetic. Makadi Heights sits elevated above Makadi Bay in Hurghada, where the climate stays mild through most of the year, inside a development built with schools, medical services, and retail for year-round living rather than a six-week season. The Red Sea does what the North Coast can't, and the line leans on that.

Notably, the campaign avoids a hard call to action. No "book now," no payment plan, no urgency device. It sticks to the metaphor and leaves the hotline and website for anyone who wants to take it further- awareness with a touch of consideration, not a conversion push.

How Do You Sell Summer Visually?

A boy caught mid-jump into a pool, mouth open in pure delight. Friends walking the lagoon at sunset. A woman enjoying the breeze. Orascom built a sequence rather than a single frame, and as a standalone campaign it works; the imagery earns a genuine feeling from a target audience commuting through Cairo's heat toward or away from work.

Where the Campaign Meets Its Audience

The rollout runs across East Cairo, West Cairo, and Downtown, with placement on the Cairo–Alexandria Road serving a more specific purpose: catching the audience that already drives toward the coast when the season turns. It's a broad plan for a broad promise.

In Conclusion

Taken alone, this is a well-built awareness campaign with imagery that does real emotional work. The open question is continuity. A single visual thread carried over from the teaser- a colour, a device, a closing line might have let the second rollout inherit everything the first one built instead of introducing itself again. Strong campaign. The sequence is where the questions live.
