Al Ahly Sabbour Developments' SUMMER OOH Campaign Hits the Streets Before Summer Ends

Al Ahly Sabbour Developments already knows what a good year looks like. In 2024, the developer beat its own EGP 30bn sales target outright, closing the year at EGP 32.5bn, a gap of two and a half billion pounds between what it promised the market and what it delivered. That kind of momentum doesn't stay quiet for long. Across its North Coast portfolio alone, the group's construction investment has now pushed past EGP 13bn, funding the kind of build-out that needs the street to know about it.

The Fifth Time on These Streets, Not the First

SUMMER isn't new to Cairo's billboards. Al Ahly Sabbour first announced the project in early 2024, as part of a combined EGP 135bn reveal alongside At-East, and has kept returning to OOH to keep it in view ever since. By insiteooh's own count, this is the fifth campaign built around SUMMER since that launch- not a debut, and not a one-off. That distinction matters. A project that only shows up once is hoping a single impression sticks. A project that shows up a fifth time is doing something else entirely: treating the street as a habit it intends to keep, phase by phase, season by season, until SUMMER stops needing an introduction at all.

Why Does an Investment This Big Need a Billboard?

An investment on that scale earns its place on the street. It needs to reach the audience who actually needs to know about it, and there's still nothing that delivers that kind of exposure quite like OOH.

Earlier this year, the brand's marketing efforts centred on "YOUD Ras El Hekma," with a wide OOH push that most Cairo commuters would have encountered. This time, the spotlight is on one of the company's many North Coast developments: "SUMMER" in Sidi Heneish, spanning 434 feddans and standing as one of Al Ahly Sabbour's largest North Coast projects to date.

The Execution: SUMMER's Mirrored Mermaid

This is still a pure awareness play at heart, planting SUMMER further into the minds of audiences who already know Al Ahly Sabbour, and closing the gap with those who don't, yet. The execution itself is genuinely eye-catching: a mermaid-like portrait of a woman, mirrored, an effect built purely to catch the eye rather than to carry any deeper symbolism. She sits beneath blue water that instantly recalls the North Coast's own, with fish and starfish animated in reds and blues threaded through the scene for a visual that's simply pleasant to look at.

The copy stays just as direct. "SUMMER" sits in bold white type, centred in the design. At the same time, the mirrored reflection doubles the words "Cabanas" and "A New Launch" beneath it, enough to spark curiosity and, ideally, a call to the 16033 hotline, positioned in the bottom right corner, opposite Al Ahly Sabbour's own branding in the other. That branding corner is doing real work: even a commuter with no interest in the project still recognises it, simply from how often it turns up across the map throughout the year.

Placed Exactly Where the Audience Already Is

The static execution is built to do one job well: strengthen mass awareness. It's running across Dahshour and the Cairo–Alex Road, which puts the message exactly where the target audience already is on the route out of Cairo and toward the North Coast, where the high-intent crowd is actually driving. This is an audience already familiar with the North Coast, already inclined to spend its summers by that water, and for the fifth time now, being reminded that SUMMER is where the next one might happen.
