On the Run OOH Campaign Marks 25 Years in Egypt
Celebrating 25 years is more than marking a milestone, it is an opportunity to remind audiences of the everyday moments that have made a brand part of their routines. ExxonMobil's latest OOH campaign for On the Run does exactly that, celebrating the convenience brand's 25th anniversary through a familiar, lifestyle-led creative. On the Run is part of ExxonMobil Egypt's convenience retail network, which has operated across major Egyptian cities.
A Relatable Roadside Moment
The billboard places a woman inside a car, casually enjoying her coffee while appearing to speak to someone, creating an everyday roadside moment that feels relatable rather than staged. The interior of the vehicle becomes the main setting, while an On the Run store sign appears naturally through the window, connecting the personal moment with the brand.
The Anniversary Message, Front and Center
On the left, a large "25 Years" graphic establishes the anniversary message, followed by the playful line "My Daily Coffee Order Please." The On the Run logo sits underneath, while the Mobil logo is positioned prominently in the lower-right corner, reinforcing the parent-brand connection. Fittingly, the coffee moment on the billboard isn't just a creative flourish, On the Run's Egypt locations brew their coffee using Illy beans, a detail that gives the "daily coffee order" line a genuine anchor in the brand's actual offering rather than a generic lifestyle prop. Building on a Familiar Playbook
The campaign follows On the Run's previous OOH appearance in Egypt during July 2022, continuing its use of everyday moments to strengthen familiarity and brand recall in this On the Run OOH campaign. That familiarity has scale behind it, On the Run and its sister brand "The Way to Go" now count 45 branches as part of ExxonMobil Egypt's retail network, a footprint that turns the billboard's coffee-run moment into something a large share of Cairo and Alexandria drivers have likely lived themselves
