A Destination Built for the World: Alam Al Roum's Second OOH Rollout

This is the second time Alam Al Roum has landed on Cairo's OOH. Qatari Diar signed the project's official investment partnership with Egypt's New Urban Communities Authority back in November 2025, and the developer didn't wait long to put it before Egyptian audiences; a first awareness campaign followed later that year, giving the public an early glimpse of what was coming.

This second rollout arrives with more behind it: weeks after Qatari Diar unveiled the SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill)-designed master plan for the project, the campaign doubles down on the visual language the first round established. Two executions, two cinematic shots. A wide, top-down aerial frames a boat gliding across crystal-blue water. A low-angle shot, taken from beneath a sunset umbrella, captures a man mid-jump from a rock into the sea.

The campaign isn't selling the destination; it's selling the daydream. Each shot gives the eye just enough to start imagining being on that boat, or making that jump, then steps back and lets the audience finish the fantasy on their own terms.

The only copy that survives that restraint is the name itself. Alam Al Roum runs across both executions in an elegant, lightweight white font, anchored by a direct command: "Live Greatness." Underneath sits a line built to speak to everyone at once: "A Destination Built for the World,” stripped of anything that might narrow who it's talking to.

This is a brand statement before it's a media buy, a positioning move for a luxury beach destination, built almost entirely on restraint. The scenery does the selling. The font does the framing. The words stay out of the way. It's the same scarcity every luxury category leans on: say less, let the image carry the weight, and trust the audience to complete the picture.

For an awareness campaign, the media plan pulls its own weight. Alam Al Roum meets its audience twice, once in East Cairo, at the start of the journey, and again on the road to the North Coast, where each unipole and lamppost works less like an ad and more like a signpost, confirming that the destination in the visuals is getting closer with every kilometer. By the time drivers reach the coast, the campaign has already sold them on the dream.
