Visit Qatar has expanded its seasonal tourism marketing campaign outside Qatar with a series of impactful outdoor advertisements in Dubai, encouraging people living in and visiting the city to embrace the Hala Summer campaign.

Following their winter advertisement campaign, these advertisements run on a variety of high-quality digital displays as well as large billboard advertisements in some of the busiest locations in Dubai. Instead of emphasizing destinations, the creative ads showcase the experiences available to tourists, including family-oriented activities and seasonal entertainment.

Some of the executions feature the phrase “Hala Joy, Hala All” with colorful characters from the Qatar Toy Festival campaign as part of the creative message, emphasizing the Qatar Toy Festival as an important family-oriented event in the campaign. Another execution focuses on Hala Adventure with the focus on thrilling adventures and relaxation within the overall Hala Summer concept.

With the selection of Dubai as the media canvas for Visit Qatar, the company is reaching out to the region’s most active travelers with messages that drive cross-border tourism.

Through positioning the advertisement in busy areas in Dubai, Visit Qatar is able to reach people who are already used to traveling within the region, promoting a last minute summer getaway which is only a flight away from their location. The advertisements feature vivid pictures and succinct messages that ensure that the focus is on the experience and not the destination.

The advertisement shows how tourism boards still continue to employ strategic OOH advertising in neighboring GCC markets through which travel is relatively easy.

Visit Qatar has landed on Dubai’s digital screens in the fourth week of June.
