Dubai Esports and Games Festival Returns to DOOH with GameExpo Campaign
The Dubai Esports and Games Festival has launched an out-of-home campaign across the city to promote GameExpo 2026, which will take place from June 5th to 7th. The DEF is an annual city-wide celebration of gaming culture, esports and digital entertainment. Its flagship event GameExpo combines tournaments, brand activations and interactive experiences to attract regional and international audiences.
Following last year’s OOH ad, the entertainment campaign is shown on large scale digital screens, bringing the event to busy urban environments. The visuals are framed by a bold “GameExpo” title, set against a stylised futuristic cityscape that blends gaming aesthetics with the Dubai skyline. The design includes character visuals and neon accents, which strongly relate to the gaming world, while being legible from afar.
The layout is a simple hierarchy. The event name sits at the centre, with supporting information like dates, venue and call to action for tickets positioned below. elements such as partner logos and the official branding of the festival are woven in without detracting from the primary message.
The digital screens also provide high visibility all day long, with high-contrast palette that makes the screens easy to read even in bright daylight conditions. The location in dense residential and commercial areas increases reach, enticing both casual passersby and more engaged audiences aware of the event.
The campaign does not contain complex messages, but direct communication: the return of GameExpo is announced and the purchase of tickets in advance is encouraged. The festival’s website is included at the bottom of the screen to provide a next step for interested viewers.
The campaign is a clear and present campaign. It places the event visually in the context of gaming culture, but keeps the simplicity needed for outdoor formats so that the message is understood quickly at the pace of the city.
The campaign landed on Dubai’s digital screens in the fourth week of April.
