Talabat Turns Cairo’s Billboards Into a Passport for Cravings
Talabat’s latest billboard campaign lands in Cairo like a ticket you didn’t know you could book with one tap, and a whole lot of appetite.
Following Talabat’s prior campaign, the new showcase turns idle open spaces into imagined destinations by blending the dream of travel with the tangible desire for food. In one of the billboards, the excited Egyptian sports fan finds himself surrounded by the American environment with the Statue of Liberty looming in the distance, all circling back to the FIFA World Cup 2026. It is a deliberate juxtaposition of cultures, America vs. Cairo, and it works perfectly.
In its simplicity, the copy achieves a lot, noting “Order… travel and cheer in America,” a perfect turn of events that reimagines the delivery process as an adventure instead of a mere service. The promotion code “Egypt26” brings this global idea back home.
The striking orange of the brand takes center stage on the right-hand side to ensure immediate brand recognition amidst all the OOH competition found in Cairo. On the other side, the human element enters in with a wide-eyed, enthusiastic fan holding the Talabat app, bringing the sense of urgency and immediacy the brand promises. He conveys what the brand is promising: pure excitement and immediacy.
Ultimately, what works well about this campaign is its knowledge of its target demographic, making ordering dinner feel like an event in itself.
