Fried Chicken Royalty: Houda Bondok Leads Bazooka’s New OOH Campaign
The self-proclaimed kings of fried chicken, Bazooka, have tapped the popular singer Hoda Bondok for their latest OOH push, returning once again to dominate Greater Cairo’s skyline. This follows their successful previous campaign from September of last year, now pivoting the spotlight toward one of the most recognizable voices in the local music scene.
The campaign is currently visible across central Cairo’s major arteries and is making waves along the high-traffic 26th of July Axis in West Cairo. The visuals are a primary highlight, showcasing Hoda Bondok as he enjoys Bazooka’s signature fried chicken, a move that directly connects the brand’s bold flavor with the singer's massive fan base. One standout visual features Hoda dressed in an artist’s outfit, complete with a toupée, as he pours sauce over a bucket of chicken. In the background, a painting of the brand’s mascot, a chicken in a suit sitting on a throne, serves as a fun yet confident way to claim their position as the kings of Egyptian fried chicken.
The imagery is further elevated by typography in Bazooka’s signature yellow, with the visuals even utilizing a clever rhyme scheme that mirrors Hoda’s lyrical style. Throughout the campaign, the tagline remains constant and confident: “We are the kings, we are fresh.” With this latest rollout, Bazooka reinforces its position through high-visibility placements and local cultural ties, successfully leveraging Hoda Bondok’s popularity to create a campaign that resonates deeply with the Egyptian public.
