Baheya’s Billboards Bring a Beating Pulse of Hope to Cairo’s Streets
From the moment you glimpse the latest billboards rolling across Cairo’s skyline, Baheya Foundation’s new outdoor awareness campaign arrests your attention with uncommon emotional clarity.
At the core of the billboard image, a family is portrayed, not in an advertising pose, but in a situation that feels very lived-in, very real, as a woman sits at the edge of a hospital bed, surrounded by the optimism of a child and the comfort of her partner. The shadows cast by the figures stretch back behind them, charging the image with poignant symbolism, as the shadowy figures hint at unseen struggles, the echoes of loss, and the silent army of people affected by breast cancer. It is an image that captures the viewer, long before the words register.
Right next to this touching scene of a tender family, the sleek Arabic slogan is personal and heartfelt, as if spoken directly to a loved one, expressing gratitude for presence, survival, and shared time.

At the bottom of this heartwarming headline, another, more subtle message informs the reader about the mission behind the campaign: “With your zakat and charity, we can reduce waiting lists.” The direct correlation between kindness and action makes this cause very accessible to the reader. The contact information, simple to remember and prominently displayed, takes the reader from reflection to action.
All parts of the billboard, its composition, colors, font, and photographs, play together as usual to seamlessly take the reader from awareness to compassion, and compassion to action.
