“An Iftar That Gathers Us.” Pizza Hut’s Ramadan Offers Hit Cairo’s Billboards
As the sun begins to set and the time for Iftar draws closer, one question dominates the minds of millions: “What’s for iftar?” Pizza Hut has positioned itself as the definitive answer, commanding Greater Cairo’s OOH landscape with its latest array of Ramadan offers. This takeover marks the follow-up to their previous campaign from last December, which introduced the Flattzz pizza to the Egyptian food market.
The mouthwatering campaign could be seen as you drove down the busy 6th of October bridge and the high-traffic ring road at the heart of Cairo. With these choices for the locations, Pizza Hut ensured that it would be the first thing on the minds of hungry commuters, thinking of what they’ll be breaking their fast with. This direction was further amplified by the creative route taken by them. The visuals followed a valued first approach, by placing the items included in the offer as well as the price tag of 559 EGP, and giving them the visual priority with a larger font. This ensured that the price tag, as well as the delicious pizzas, would be the first thing that commuters would see.
The visuals also kept the Ramadan spirits high with a predominantly red color palette infused with various Ramadan elements ranging from lanterns to a crescent moon, which all came together with the short but impactful tagline that read: “An iftar that gathers us.”
Pizza Hut’s strategic OOH presence has successfully elevated the humble slice into the centerpiece of the Egyptian table, transforming a takeout staple into the ultimate Ramadan Iftar tradition.
