
Yara Shahidi and George MacKay star in Where Light Finds Us Gucci Campaign on DOOH

Luxury fashion wear brand Gucci rises on Dubai’s digital outdoor advertising platform with a captivating and contemporary campaign for their Spring 2025 collection. Gucci’s previous OOH appearance featured George Barnett and was advertising for Gucci’s new eyewear collection. The current campaign uses the star power of prominent actress Yara Shadidi and actor George MacKay. The campaign is a relatively new one that was released during the second week of March and utilizes digital screens across Dubai making it a DOOH campaign.
The ad visuals are photographed by Canadian filmmaker and actor Xavier Dolan while the creative director is Sabato De Sarno. The advertising campaign, shot by Xavier Dolan, heavily features the brand's accessories, particularly their Bamboo bags. Yara Shahidi showcases these alongside a vibrant scarf, high-heeled sandals, sporty sneakers, and a distinctive double G belt. The campaign, which also includes George MacKay, uses light and clothing to highlight the interaction between the two actors.
De Sarno presents his collection as a tribute to the gentle aspects of human experience. The designs, ranging from loose to tailored, blend a sense of groundedness with a touch of dreaminess. The color scheme is predominantly muted, but punctuated with unexpected bursts of bright color, suggesting moments of fantasy within the ordinary. The classic Bamboo 1947 bag is reintroduced, merging Gucci's past with a modern sensibility.
