This February, the World Surf League Championship (WSL) Tour will break new ground by hosting its first-ever event in the Middle East. From the 14th to the 16th of February 2025, Surf Abu Dhabi will be hosting the highly anticipated event, Surf Abu Dhabi Pro, gathering the world’s best surfers to compete together on the biggest man-made wave at the facility. The pioneering real estate company Modon, is prominently displayed on the billboards, indicating that it will be hosting and sponsoring the event, as well as advertising for the campaign. Modon’s previous campaign for Surf Abu Dhabi was during January 2025 and was also raising awareness for Surf Abu Dhabi using the main tagline “Find Your Wave.” This campaign is a relatively new one that was released during the second week of February and is a single-format campaign that utilizes digital screens across Dubai. The campaign portrays an aesthetically pleasing visual of an animated and abstract beach with a huge wave coming by while the tall towers of Dubai city standby in the background. It is quite similar to the atmosphere at Hudayriyat Island. The visual also includes tropical palm trees and a shining sun. It takes a nostalgic and vintage approach regarding the artsy feel of it. The campaign takes an orange hue as its backdrop. Orange symbolizes emotion, youth, optimism, and enthusiasm and has an uplifting and stimulating effect on viewers, making it a perfect color for the campaign. The campaign displays the logo for Hudayriyat Island where the magnificent event will be hosted while portraying Surf Abu Dhabi’s logo on the top right corner of the screen. The billboard also uses the informative ad copy “Surf Abu Dhabi Pro” in a large and bold typo along with the event’s date which is from “14-16 February 2025.” The campaign also prominently displays the World Surf League Championship logo “WSL.” The billboards also highlight that visitors can get their tickets at “SurfAbuDhabi.com.” Learn more about DOOH campaigns’ details by visiting INSITEOPEDIA and navigating its various sections.
