The British luxury department store chain Harvey Nichols has landed on Dubai’s OOH landscape with an elegant OOH campaign, promoting the stylish brand and raising awareness about their branch in Mall of The Emirates.Founded in 1831, Harvey Nichols is a diverse brand that sells fashion collections for men and women, fashion accessories, beauty products, wine, and food. The history of the brand is certainly astonishing, starting in 1831, Benjamin Harvey opened a linen shop in a terraced house on the corner of Knightsbridge and Sloane Street in London. In 1835, the shop expanded to No.8 next door. In 1841, Benjamin employed James Nichols, in 1845 Nichols was promoted to management and in 1848, he married Harvey’s niece, Anne Beale. Benjamin Harvey died in 1850, leaving the business in the care of his wife Anne, who went into partnership with James Nichols to form Harvey Nichols & Co. Today, Harvey Nichols has seven stores within the UK and Ireland, consisting of five large-format stores in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester, and two small-format stores in Bristol and Dublin. There are also five large-format stores overseas: one in Riyadh, one in Dubai, two in Hong Kong, and one in Kuwait, which demonstrates how the brand evolved into a global phenomenon. The visuals on display feature a male & a female model, each posing stylishly. While the man is sitting with his legs crossed, wearing some cool shades, an off white pair of pants, and a black polo shirt, the woman is standing with a daring pose, putting her hand on her waist, flaunting a brown sleeved blouse, in addition to a leather skirt with a checked pattern. They both exude elegance and sophistication and are the perfect fit to represent the brand. The ads remain simple, with a white background that gives the images room to shine. In addition to that, the ad copy simply states the name of the brand, the city, and the Mall of The Emirates, indicating the location of Harvey Nichols’ branch. This limited campaign is a fairly new one that was released during the fourth week of September and was distributed across Uni-Pole billboards in Dubai City.
