The English writer, comedian, and actor Russell Kane is gracing Dubai once again for the first time in four years on the 29th of September, for a stand-up performance that’s guaranteed to entertain and result in copious amounts of laughter. The event is presented by Dubai Opera and GME Events and is being promoted as a DOOH (digital out of home) campaign. In August 2006, Russell Kane performed his debut comedy show The Theory of Pretension at the Edinburgh Fringe, where he was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award, launching his career as a household name in comedy. He is best known as the host of three series of Live At The Electric, regular appearances on Live At Apollo, Unzipped, Celebrity Juice and I Am Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now. He also made history when he won both the Edinburgh Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in the same year. This comedy powerhouse is now hopping joyfully across Dubai’s billboards, on an OOH campaign overflowing with fun & energy. The yellow color used in the background serves as the perfect backdrop since it’s a color that’s associated with amusement and cheerfulness. The comedian poses playfully with a hilarious expression on his face and his name written in a huge font and layered over him, letting the audience know how much fun is in store for them. The website is written at the bottom of the ad, as well as the date for the awaited event. This new campaign has emerged in the first week of September on digital screens.
