du has returned to Sheikh Zayed Road with another Select Power Plan D/OOH campaign, putting a simple headline at the centre of the creative: 50% off for six months.

This is du’s seventh UAE OOH campaign of 2026 and the second this year built around the Select Power Plan. The timing gives the offer an interesting business backdrop. du closed the first half of 2026 with revenue up 5.8%, an EBITDA margin of 49.2%, and net profit rising 12.6% year-on-year. In August, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority renewed du’s public telecom licence for another 20 years, extending it through August 2046.

The campaign therefore arrives at a moment when du is not only promoting a consumer offer, but operating against a backdrop of improving profitability, long-term regulatory continuity, and a wider strategy that increasingly positions the company beyond traditional telecom services.

What Is du Promoting With the Select Power Plan Campaign?

This is the second Select Power Plan campaign du has taken to UAE OOH in 2026.

The first appeared in March through a partnership with Esaad, also leading with a 50% discount. This time, the offer stands on its own.

du’s current official consumer promotion advertises up to 50% off Power Plans for six months, while the OOH creative makes the full “50%” figure the visual headline.

That distinction matters. The billboard does not attempt to explain every plan, eligibility condition, or bundle detail. It uses the strongest number available to earn attention first, leaving the product specifics for the next stage of the customer journey.

The offer can also speak to more than one type of customer. It gives prospective subscribers a reason to consider du, while potentially giving existing users on other plans a reason to look again at the Select Power Plan range. Rather than stating a specific acquisition strategy, the campaign keeps the proposition broad enough to work across both possibilities.

How du Turns the 50% Offer Into an OOH Visual

The execution stays firmly inside familiar du territory.

Cyan and magenta dominate the creative, giving the campaign an immediate connection to du’s established visual identity. An Emirati figure holding a smartphone anchors the centre of the frame, while the oversized “50%” appears in bold, glass-like cyan typography and becomes the first element competing for attention.

Around the figure, smaller visual widgets reference 5G, music, gaming, and Wi-Fi, functioning as shorthand for the digital services associated with the plan.

That hierarchy is important.

The discount lands first. The person gives the offer a human centre. The surrounding icons add product context without forcing passing motorists to read a long list of features.

The result is a billboard that communicates the commercial proposition at a glance while allowing the supporting benefits to sit one layer deeper.

Where du’s Select Power Plan OOH Campaign Is Running

The campaign displayed using two executions on Sheikh Zayed Road: one static and one DOOH.

The location places the promotion on one of the UAE’s most prominent and heavily contested OOH corridors, giving the offer visibility among a broad cross-section of Dubai commuters.

The two formats also give du different ways to carry the same message.

The static execution keeps the proposition continuously visible, while the digital placement gives the creative the flexibility of a screen-based format and repeated rotations throughout the day. Both retain the same visual language and 50% message, keeping recognition consistent regardless of format.

Rather than asking each medium to tell a different story, du uses both to reinforce the same one.

Why OOH Fits du’s Select Power Plan Push

Telecom has unusually broad consumer relevance. Mobile connectivity, data, entertainment, gaming, Wi-Fi, and digital services cut across large sections of the population, making broad-reach media a natural fit for a promotion designed around a simple consumer incentive.

That is where the Select Power Plan creative works particularly well.

There is no complicated tariff table on the billboard. No long explanation of the package. The campaign reduces the proposition to three things a commuter can process quickly: du, 50%, six months.

The supporting visual language then fills in the category cues around it.

For a company that has already appeared across UAE outdoor advertising seven times in 2026, that simplicity matters. Frequent visibility only helps if each campaign still gives audiences something immediately distinct to remember.

Here, the number does most of that work.

50% is the hook. du’s familiar visual identity makes it recognizable. SZR gives it scale.
