Gulf Air Celebrates 75 Years with a World's Eye View From Sharjah

In a new hoarding installation on one of Sharjah's busiest thoroughfares, the Bahraini airline Gulf Air is marking its 75th anniversary with a sweeping campaign that married heritage to global ambition. Spanning the length of a full black-framed wallscape, the transportation campaign is less an airline advertisement than a gallery of aspirational travel; clean and driven by visual wanderlust.
The scheme spans seven vertical travel panels, each of which spotlights a key global destination on the Gulf Air route network: New York, Singapore, Casablanca, London, Bangkok, Shanghai, with Bahrain positioned at the center, both geographically and figuratively. Each is presented through postcard-like imagery: iconic golden hour cityscapes topped off with clean bilingual typography (Arabic and English) in simple white font, giving each place an air of cinema. The design is deliberate and editorial, implying a cover story rather than an advertisement.
At either side of the hoarding, we find the campaign's core message in full bleed white: the left-hand panel proclaims the milestone "Gulf Air | 75 Years" in bold gold typography; the right-hand panel dishes out the CTA — "Connecting you to Bahrain & beyond" — into a two-language call to "Book now!" on gulfair.com. The images tell the story; the brand never must overexplain. It's minimalist in its self-restraint, and that's precisely why it succeeds.
Placed on one of Sharjah's busiest roads, observed by motorists and mall shoppers alike, this hoarding anchors GCC regional coverage by Gulf Air in the UAE, a market at the heart of GCC carrier rivalry. The skyscraper urban skyline, behind which the hoarding is positioned, replicates the cosmopolitan skyline pictures on the hoarding itself.
The ad hit Sharjah’s hoardings in the second week of October.
