In the public administration sector, the Emirates Society For Consumer Protection is blasting up a storm on the UAE’s billboards. In a campaign by the Government of Sharjah, the non-profit organization floods UAE citizens with a plethora of familiar logos, reassuring them that their rights are protected. It handles and investigates consumer complaints, coordinating with relevant parties. From McDonald’s to Noon, to Yango Play to Property Finder and Jotun, the Emirates Society For Consumer Protection is here for their consumers, from the A to Z of brands in the UAE. The organization reaffirms this by saying, “Consumer Protection your Right… Our Mission”. They take this a step further by adding, “Our Responsibility to Protect”, and including their founding year to prove their long history of reliability, which is 1987. This awareness campaign is aimed at educating consumers about their rights and protecting them from unfair practices, empowering consumers to take control of their purchasing decisions and hold businesses accountable. In the second week of October, the campaign appeared on Sharjah’s hoardings.
